Dashboard Tutorial Script
Tutorial Goal
Use Dashboard as the daily starting point: check calls, read announcements, review today's schedule, and open the tool that owns the next task.
Before starting: Widgets vary by role, workspace, project phase, and available production data.
Scene 1: Open the Feature
Open /pro/user/features/dashboard. This tutorial shows one common task from the feature page, not a full product tour.
Scene 2: Use Dashboard to decide where to work next
The page is a summary. Use it to spot what needs attention, then follow a widget into the owning feature.
- Open Home: Go to Dashboard after login, click the Home icon, or press Alt+1 outside a text field.
- Read your widgets: Check My Calls, announcements, daily schedule, attendance, or setup prompts based on your role.
- Follow the card: Open Scheduler, Feed, Attendance, Script Import, or Invite Team from the relevant widget.
Scene 3: Make sure the summary matches your role
Dashboard should feel different for a cast member, stage manager, or designer because each role needs different information.
- My Calls: Cast and crew should see events assigned to them or their groups.
- Announcements: Pinned posts and department mentions should be visible without opening Feed first.
- Stage manager view: Today schedule, attendance, and setup shortcuts appear when the role supports them.
Scene 4: Use Dashboard for orientation, not final edits
Dashboard summarizes project data. To change details, follow the widget into Scheduler, Feed, Attendance, or the setup tool that owns the record.
