Social Feed Tutorial Script

Tutorial Goal

Create a Feed post that includes an update, optional media, a department mention, and a link back to the production item people need to review.

Before starting: Use Feed for production updates, not emergency communication.

Scene 1: Open the Feature

Open /pro/user/features/feed. This tutorial shows one common task from the feature page, not a full product tour.

Scene 2: Create and target a production update

Start in the Feed composer, add the actual update, then attach context before you post.

  1. Open Feed: Choose Feed in the sidebar and click into the composer at the top of the timeline.
  2. Write and attach: Enter the update, then use the attachment icon for a new upload or an existing Cloud Files item.
  3. Mention, link, post: Type @ for a person or department, use the link icon for a scene, prop, event, or note, then click Post.

Scene 3: Confirm the post landed correctly

After posting, check the timeline, notifications, and pinned area so the message is findable.

  • Timeline: The post should show the text, media preview, mention, and linked item chip.
  • Notifications: Mentioned people or departments should see the unread badge.
  • Pinned post: If this is an announcement, use the pin icon and keep only one or two pins active.

Scene 4: Do not use Feed as the only urgent channel

For emergencies, show-critical changes, or anything that needs immediate confirmation, post the context in Feed and also contact the team directly.
