Personnel Directory Tutorial Script
Tutorial Goal
Use Personnel to find a team member, switch roster views, filter by category, and add a person with the information needed for account linking.
Before starting: Personnel records may contain sensitive contact or access data.
Scene 1: Open the Feature
Open /pro/user/features/personnel. This tutorial shows one common task from the feature page, not a full product tour.
Scene 2: Find or add someone in the project roster
Start from the Personnel tab, choose the view that fits the task, and use email carefully if the person should claim their profile.
- Open Contacts: Choose Personnel in the sidebar, then select the Contacts sub-tab.
- Choose view and filter: Use Grid for browsing, List for dense edits, and category pills for Cast, Crew, or Production.
- Add a person: Click Add Person, enter name, optional email, and category, then click Add Person again.
Scene 3: Confirm the record is usable
A good personnel record is findable, contactable, and ready for account matching if the person signs in later.
- Card details: The card should show name, category, role or character, and contact shortcuts.
- Account link: A matching email lets the person claim the profile after signing in.
- Shared URL: View and filter settings are saved in the URL for sharing the same roster slice.
Scene 4: Email accuracy controls profile linking
Personnel data is sensitive. Keep emails accurate for account matching, and avoid adding contact or access details the production does not need.
