Settings Tutorial Script
Tutorial Goal
Use Settings to change personal preferences, notification behavior, and project access options when your role gives you permission.
Before starting: Settings affect project behavior and should be changed carefully.
Scene 1: Open the Feature
Open /pro/user/features/settings. This tutorial shows one common task from the feature page, not a full product tour.
Scene 2: Change a preference or review project access
Settings mixes safe personal preferences with project-level controls, so check which section you are in before changing anything.
- Open Settings: Click the gear icon in the sidebar or press Ctrl+, on Windows and Cmd+, on Mac.
- Adjust your preferences: Choose theme, sidebar behavior, shortcuts, and notification channels.
- Review project controls: If authorized, use Project Access for members, role changes, deactivation, invitations, and update requests.
Scene 3: Confirm whether the change is personal or project-wide
Personal preferences sync across projects. Project settings belong to the current production.
- User preferences: Theme, sidebar, and notifications follow you across projects.
- Project settings: Name, currency, time zone, integrations, and access affect only this production.
- Danger Zone: Archive and Delete are separate from normal preference changes.
Scene 4: Do not treat project controls like preferences
Access changes, archive, and delete actions affect the production. Confirm the project, permissions, and deletion limits before using those controls.
