Reports and Exports

Review before sharing. Reports and exports are available across several tools. Check generated output before distributing it.

Open Reports

Most report workflows start from a Reports button in the active tool's action bar. In the current app, clicking Reports opens a shared modal that lists the reports available for that tool. Use Show All Reports when you need to switch to a report from another area.

Use the modal to choose:

  • Report type
  • Date, month, schedule, or department filters
  • Report-specific sections, such as Costume Bible or Quick Change options
  • Print layout options such as font size, density, gridlines, and page breaks
  • Print or CSV output, depending on the selected report

After reviewing the settings, click Print to continue to the browser print dialog or save as PDF. If the report supports data export, click Download CSV from the same modal.

CSV Exports

Some reports support CSV export for spreadsheet review. CSV export now lives inside the same Reports modal as print output, and availability depends on the selected report.

Use CSV for:

  • Production deadline review
  • Actor rehearsal-hours review
  • Prompt book cue review
  • Props or inventory cleanup
  • External backup before major edits

Do not treat CSV as a live sync format. Re-import behavior varies by workflow.

Email vs Print

Use Communications for app-generated emails such as call sheets, announcements, deadline pings, and line-note reports.

Use Reports when you need:

  • A paper room copy
  • A PDF attachment
  • A binder insert
  • A show-night fallback

Review both email and printed output before sending to the full team.

Paper Fallback

Keep paper or exported backups for show-critical workflows:

  • Calling script
  • Run sheet
  • Call sheet
  • Attendance/sign-in
  • Mic plot
  • Cue lists
